Committee Members Present:   Halpin, Marshall, Rusak, Terlizzi, Absent: Barlow, Sullivan, Von Sternberg, Wargo; and council liaison Steve Shaw.

Summary

1. Publicity
   1. Memorial Day handout – a few more names were added to our list of interested residents
   2. Website – we are now up on the website – check it out:  http://www.mtnlakes.org/Borough/Centennial/Centhome.htm  We will add photos to the home page and part of the cornerstone message.
   3. Flag/logo – work with Lili Rosenstreich to see if we can enhance the current ML flag and logo – and then adapt it for the centennial logo.

 

1. Commemorative project for the town’s 100^th?
   1. HPC is publishing a coffee table book that will serve as a beautiful, informative commemorate piece
   2. We can consider working with HPC to help with a special cover, and facilitate promotion at centennial events, maybe include something on our website?

 

1. Key events – every two months
   1. March 12, 2011 – Launch year of celebration – Gala

                                                 i.      Town Club sponsor?

                                               ii.      Others – Nite Owls, LWV?

1. May 30, 2011 – Memorial Day

                                                 i.      100 years of people

                                               ii.      100 years of cars

1. July 4, 2011 – Independence Day

                                                 i.      Neighborhoods compete in boat decorating and racing

                                               ii.      Main Lake hosts

1. October, 2011 – Spirit 5K – Special 10 K edition

                                                 i.      Historic tour route

                                               ii.      Through all town neighborhoods

1. Budget
   1. Send a letter to all residents asking for donations
   2. Need a Treasurer on the committee

 

1. Committee responsibilities – TBD – expand or cut according to funds raised
   1. Event co-ordinator or liaison to work with leading town club
   2. Videographer/photographer for the year of events
   3. Neighborhood groups and instructions
   4. Banners
   5. Programs and passports
